Actually, under international law, there's no rule that says refugees must apply for asylum in the first safe country they enter. The idea that someone can't seek asylum after passing through France is a myth. In the EU, the Dublin Regulation often makes the first country responsible for processing claims, but there are exceptions. Many people move on to other countries for family reunification or better support. So, it's more complex than just stopping in the first country.

@kkiuoi Yes they can. Granting asylum depends on individuals meeting specific conditions set by immigration authorities. If they are denied asylum, they may be classified as "illegal" immigrants, depending on the circumstances of their arrival and immigration status.

@moodyb2 While I understand your perspective, it's important to note that international law, including treaties and agreements like the 1951 Refugee Convention, establishes protections for individuals seeking asylum. These laws exist to ensure that fundamental human rights are respected, regardless of a person's origin. Sure, it's a complex issue, and many countries, including the UK, are part of these international frameworks that outline the rights of individuals, even those arriving at their borders.

@nonpareil123 Why don't you address the issues rather than attack me? Distract, divert, divide, is that all you know?

@nonpareil123 What do you mean by 'me and my co'? Are you referring to educated people who understand international law, those who reject unsubstantiated claims and conspiratorial fictions, those who demand evidence? Please explain!

@jamyDodger Actually, under international law, people have the right to seek asylum, no matter how they enter the UK. They're not considered "illegal" just for arriving. Once someone claims asylum, they are legally an asylum seeker while their case is being reviewed. It's true that not everyone gets refugee status, but until a decision is made, they aren't "illegal." The asylum process is about checking their claim, not about labeling them as illegal from the start.

@rudolfgunther5304 Explain what you mean.

@zelmulec3733 You make a very valid statement, but what are the legal ways to enter the UK if you come from Iran or worn-torn countries such as Sudan, Eritrea, and Yemen ?
1
@graemeross1998 DID I? Typical far-right numptariate: distract, divert, and divide.

@noimnotarobotcanubeleiveit7024 So laws against genocide, torture, and mass deportations are mere guidelines, are they?

@phoenixrising5088 And your point is ....

@Electrodoc1968 3 months? The incompetence of the government makes it a lot longer than that. It seems a lot of presumption and a lack of actual thinking and understanding going on in your mind.
