As a guy who lives in a country where the police's favourite crowd control measure is shooting at people with live rounds, you can find live bullets scattered on the floor here and there. We had a protest in my university over the killing of a few students by police under vague circumstances and multiple live rounds were found around the compound...

So when people were protesting the police shooting that kid they found two live rounds around that place where the police were shooting at people...

Is competition increasing or are the major drug manufacturers who are oligopolies now making entry to market impossible and are busy patenting everything, merging and swallowing start-up pharmacy companies making said competition also impossible. Another thing, what part of this showed that America regulates drug prices? It's pretty much the opposite. So much so Americans who can are running to get drugs in countries where they regulate said drug prices.

That drugs whose R & D, which is the most resource intensive step in drug manufacturing, are carried out by public institutions using taxpayers money only for some soulless capitalists to patent it up to the neck Making sure no one else can produce it and sell it at a price a million times inflated. The GDP per capita as of 2019 of the US is $66,000 one of the highest in the world, thanks in part to the dollar being the world's reserve currency and you cannot blame people, some of whom their lives are being made miserable by American sanctions and interference or have been made miserable by American sponsored coups and civil wars, for wanting a piece of that... My point is America in itself is not bad but the people it has in power making these foreign policies historically have been...
