  1. I would actually rank the Pink Kit first for a newbie homeowner or apt renter since it comes with a drill (which I assume can also be used as an electric screwdriver). I agree with your assessment that Craftsman or Kobalt would be very good kits.. but your didn't mention both also come with no-hassle lifetime replacement warranties from that big box blue & white home improvement store across the US. While you performed extreme stress tests... but basic things like phillips screwdriver stripping is very common, and it's great to get a free replacement.
