  1. Almost all modern combustion cars today can last 200K miles with good care, even cheapie Kia's and Chrysler's. They keys are 1) don't drive them hard (full throttle starts, hard stops); 2) change the oils and other fluids at least recommended intervals, or earlier; 3) don't over tax the engine and tranny (don't haul heavy items often). If you drive a car hard, and don't change the fluids often, it'll get you past the warranty (36K miles), but be ready for expensive car repair bills in the near future.
