  2. Watching some of these old matches... I can see why boxing was so popular. I think what killed boxing (besides the corruption and match fixing), is that they seem to embrace (literally) a lot of grappling and hugging during the match which is boring. I think if they changed the rules where if there's more than three grappling/hugging, the purse is reduced by 10% each round. So if you have 10 rounds, and each round has three hugs/grapples, they get zero money. It creates action, and eliminates a lot of wasted time in the ring.
