I think one part that is replaced often, and there are lots of aftermarket parts are the front windshields. I had a small crack on my OEM windshield, and got it replaced for "free" with an aftermarket windshield through insurance claim a while back, and felt the aftermarket attracted windshield chips (but not cracks) a lot more, than my OEM windshield (which I felt didn't get as many chips). The difference would've been $250 for me through insurance, and prob more if I paid out of pocket. But are OEM windshields worth the higher expense or was I just imagining things because i was hyper aware of windshield cracks and chips. I know they have to pass various safety requirements to be certified to be a car windshield, but are there varying qualities among OEM and aftermarket?
