  1. To be more balanced... SW revenues are not just from box office receipts. There's going to be toys and co-branded endorsements which is all profit. In addition, often times, studios sell full or partial regional distribution rights to mitigate risk. And lastly, this movie will last basically forever, and will trickle in money for the next 50 years. Remember when Waterworld was supposed to be the largest loss for a movie ever... but over time, it actually turned a profit (granted, IMO, that movie wasn't that bad... or have the political bagged SW has).
