If they are "recent" in Canada, then they don't have a credit history. That means they won't qualify for OEM financing, or bank financing. To get the OEM financing, you need a sterling credit rating... which you don't mention at all. In the US, they actually have a disclaimer that only "well qualified" buyers would get that rate... which is prob less than 10% of the buyer.

The "deal" shown isn't very good. Based on my past car buying experience (Honda, Toyota, Acura), of which, I'm NOT squeezing every last penny from the deal... I try to get a new current year model with less than 10 miles on the odometer for MSRP out the door (that's including taxes, destination charges, and registration/licensing fees). Accessories are added at 40%-50% less than retail, but installed (they always seem happy to do this... which also leads me to believe I'm leaving money on the table). The sales price is approx -10.1% less than MSRP... and when you pile on the other charges, it get's me back to MSRP, out the door. IMO, that's an decent deal. My last new car was in 2021... -13.1% off MSRP, and 0%/48mo financing (no rebates thou).

There was prob $10K worth of add ons that was sketchy... but the financing is actually legit if they have "average" credit. You need to have very good or better credit rating to get a sub-10% interest rate. It's the buyer's choice to go with eight years, not the dealership. Blaming the dealership for an eight year loan isn't fair. Unless you have a 790 credit score, you'll prob won't qualify for the OEM promo rate of 5% or less. You can't get a sub-5% auto loan rate from any bank or credit union these days. Agree that getting shorter loan is better than a longer loan... but once again, that's the buyer's choice.
