  1. It's obvious that the person with six figures of negative equity on the BMW, and another $40k-$50k on the Raptor is going to just file bankruptcy, and wipe away all that consumer debt. Granted, they'll lose the cars, and trash their credit rating, but the mindset is that they are in too deep, so why not just go balls out till they actually file for bankruptcy. The problem is that almost everyone else (anyone who doesn't have near-perfect credit) has to pay for these clowns. Those who have near-perfect credit are in a different category... than those who only have good, ok, and bad credit (who are much more likely to default or file bankruptcy).
