  1. If you buy a gas car that's well built (Honda, Toyota) and take care of it, it can last you 15-20 years. It will be nearly impossible to keep an EV or Hybrid that will last that long without replacing the battery, and it's unlikely they have software support that long for that car (which could be critical in safety and security... both the car, and any linked devices to that car (such as your phone, garage door, smart home, PC, etc)).
