Being employed also means you didn't get fired for some inappropriate activity, and is the best evidence that you can provide value to a company (otherwise, they would've gotten rid of you earlier).

Being homeless and starving isn't good for your mental health either.

@alphaomega1351 No one is being "exploited". An prospective candidate has the choice/option to not accept any job they don't feel they are being compensated fairly for. The problem is that a lot of people, especially on social media, think they are worth a lot more than what someone is actually willing to pay for their time.

Quitting your job and posting it on social media will just mean it's going to be nearly impossible to find a job at a major corporation that does social media background checks, which most large companies do these days. No company wants to hire an employee which is constantly posting about work related activities, or even their personal lives (as employee is an extension of the company indirectly 24/7... that's why people who make racists or inappropriate posts are fired all the time).

All these companies are laughing so hard... they are thinking, we sure dodged some bullets by not having these low intelligence losers at the company today.

Don't quit your current job unless you have a plan. Improving your mental health is not a plan. The best time to look for another job is while you have an existing job. This proves that you are employable, and that you weren't fired. Looking for a job without having a job isn't impossible, but it's going to be much much more difficult.
