The woman who is 35yo, and who's mother wants to set her up with the neighbor should really take time out to meet that man. First off, she's 35yo and will only get much much harder to meet a man as she get's closer to 40yo. Second, her mother knows this person, and already preliminary approves of him, which means he's prob not a bad person. She is still decent looking, so why not take a few days off to visit? Also, if she is serious about finding a man, she may want to invest in seeing a dentist to get her teeth straighten, and veneers. It looks like her teeth may have been impacted by poor nutrition while growing up.

@helahola You do not understand Chinese women mothers. They are the ones who are losing face among her peers... not her father. Also, if the man didn't have at least some minimal prospects (wealth), including enough filial piety to take care of elderly parents (both his, and potentially hers), I guarantee her mother would not make such a referral. No Chinese parent is going to recommend a spouse who won't be taking care of them as they get older.

The woman with glasses is delusional, and needs to check if she has a brain tumor. She's older, barren, poor (can barely afford 86 yuan), exhausing, and demanding and can't find a man. Now, with an added bonus, she is sick. What man would want to marry, let alone date, a woman who has nothing to offer, but their burdens?

@penguinvic9892 If the man take his child, esp a daughter, then his priority is family... and obviously, the ex-wife didn't. That said, I'm sure his ex-wife will only have bad things to say... so if you believe her, you should date her instead.

@penguinvic9892 You are way over dramatic. It was a mom trying to set up a blind date. Of which, she turned down. It wasn't like her mom selling into sex slavery in Africa if she met the guy. You are more dramatic than most women.

@penguinvic9892 I would say, who's fault is that? You accepted the date, and both your "friend" and them mislead you... or you were not explicitly clear enough that no children. And guess what, you are alive, and survived that one date. In this situation, the mother was only trying to encourage her to go on a blind date... no big deal. She can say no. As for other people pressuring someone... that's their own fault for not standing up for themselves by saying very firmly, and loudly, that they don't want their "help". If they don't have the backbone to stand up for themselves, I'm certainly not going to by sympathetic. I suspect the woman only made the video because she wanted to go on the blind date, but was just ashamed it took her mother to find one for her. Now, having given her baised one sided view, she can go on that date, and if it fails, blame her mother... and not herself.
