I warn the husband that your wife would never return to work. I know an older man who married a woman who used to make over $100,000 USD per year before they were married. She didn't like her job, so she took a buy-out (quit). She was supposed to go back to school to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. They got married, he put her name on the house deed while he worked, she she went to school. Fast forward six years... she is still going to school, taking 1 class per semester, not working part-time, stay at home watching TikTok, shop online, they have no kids, and doesn't cook. Now, he's the only one working, and likely never retire.

@DC-wo2yb Retiring is easy, as long as you prioritize savings. I know many many people who have retired in their early 50's. The key is to prioritize savings, and invest the money (SP500, rental property) and pay down debt... and in 20-25 years, they have have a paid off home, and enough money to retire with their families. A few work for the government, which doesn't pay that much, but they get a lifetime pension... so all they have to do is pay off their house, and they have plenty of money for the rest of their lives.

@4evertrue830 The house is not paid off because she keeps spending money, so hey borrow money from the equity. They just leased a new car for her. He cannot say no to her.

@ActiveAussie2024 I think as long as someone can be financially responsible, women, and family can be accomplished. The key is finding the right woman... one who prioritizes family, loyalty, being nice, and compromise. The other side is those who are vain, materialistic, demanding, and deceitful are ones to avoid (or you can "rent" them for a short period of time if you have the money).

She wanted to go back to school to be a nurse, which should've taken no more than three or four years since she already had a bachelors and master's degrees. But she quickly found that watching Tik ToK and order food was a better life than working. Him knowing all this, still married her, and put her name on the house deed.
