  1. The 35yo admits she's old and not very good looking. That self awareness should be very helpful. Since she is thin, this could only lead to 1) her requirements are still to high for her looks & status, and 2) need to re-assess her personality. If she's not nice, or not pleasant to be around, that is a huge turn off to men. Men do not want a woman who complains all the time, are too demanding, or changes their mind often, and for no good reason, other than she "feels" different this minute.

  2. For the accounting lady. The companies don't want you because you are lazy/unmotivated (not looking for a job because you are a victim), likely complains a lot (since you are complaining online already), and not willing to understand the business (in your own words). Accounting is not always about making the numbers add up and balance. They want someone who understands the business and tax implications, so when they see the numbers, they can spot ways to improve, make more money, or save money. That's what a business wants... someone that can help them make (or save) money vs just a robot that counts beans.
