  2. I live near Hurn airport - the IC705 does everything and can pick up most things - whats really ridiclious is that for the price the IC9700 doesnt have airband. I'm sure there is a technical reason why, but its disappointing nethertheless and something I wish it did, given like what others have said a cheap SDR will pick up sats and ATC. Interesting video as ever !

  3. my gut feeling is that the more improbable it seems, the more likely its been a project of some type at some point in history. Remember WWII and the Germans encountered radar for the first time, they thought it was resonance from the national grid, not an advance early detection system that had been invented.... just proves that stranger things have happened
