Comments by "Morgan King" (@MorganKing95) on "Top 10 Worst Hollywood Directors" video.
Agreed. I don't consider him to be worse than directors like Friedberg & Seltzer and Michael Bay
2
He is notorious for making horrible movies based on video games like "House of the Dead", "In the name of the king", "BloodRayne", and "Alone in the dark"
1
He is an actor. The director of "Borat" and "BrĂ¼no" is Larry Charles (the former film was also highly successful and earned Sacha Baron Cohen a Golden Globe)
1
He isn't the best director, but not the worst either
1
the Harry Potter sequels were all generally well-received or critically acclaimed even though many fans find them disappointing
1
Bob Schneider there are directors who suck even more ass, but they are somehow below him on this list
1
The only movies he has made that received highly negative reviews are "Universal Soldier", "Godzilla", and "10.000 BC", while his movies "Independence Day" and "The Patriot" have received positive reviews (the former being considered to be influential for science fiction movies when it comes to action and visuals), and the rest received mixed reviews ("The Day After Tomorrow" and "2012" received some praise though for their visuals and thrills)

jackieboy johnson Well, the critics obviously don't hate him as much as Michael Bay, and those are the ones WatchMojo top 10 base their lists on. I don't like Emmerich very much either, but some of his movies are at least watchable
1
+Holy Narwhale87 Because he's widely considered to be one of the greatest directors of all time
1
It isn't always easy to tell; I know a handful of people who call him a bad director because they find his movies boring (stupid argument, if you ask me)
1
"American Graffiti" and the first "Star Wars" movie are both too acclaimed to include him here
1
+Joshua Willis Nobody said that people cannot have opinions, but there are some movies that have either been so generally acclaimed or generally panned that when someone disagrees, most people will say "Okay..." or "Are you stupid?" It's been like this since the 18th century, only that it was literary works and artwork back then
1
"The Sixth Sense" is his most acclaimed movie, and I thought it was great. However, he also has many bad movies, most notably "The Last Airbender" and "After Earth"
1
He looks like Orson Welles compared to Uwe Boll in terms of directing; the latter looks like he flunked film school
1
+Edvin Szilagyi Joel Schumacher didn't direct "The Sixth Sense" or "Unbreakable", and his bad movies outweigh his few good ones
