Lucas had no connection to Crystal Skull at all apart from his branding to the franchise; the film was directed by Spielberg (the film also isn't really beloved by fans anyway as Claudio points out). He also had no connection to Red Tails apart from the film being produced by his company (and the film received mixed reviews as well)
