IReact To Stuff Drew Oh yeah sure, none of you mention Kool G Rap's "Wanted: Dead or Alive"; the entire Illmatic sounds like it's based on the opening song "Streets of New York". Even the flow is similar. And why no Public Enemy or Gang Starr?

SSLP isn't a debut
2
"2pacalypse Now" has been pretty overshadowed by his later albums
2
+David Noothoven Well, "Infinite" wasn't really successful or something that I think Eminem is even proud of today
2
@justright1382 His debut was 2Pacalypse Now
2
+Diesker It's a great album, but I just can't put it in the same category as "Enter the Wu-Tang", "Ready to Die", and "Illmatic" (this coming from a die-hard Eminem fan)
1
***** Although Eminem's albums are indeed amazing, I just never see them appearing in the top 10 or top 5 "greatest" or "influential" albums lists or magazines, and even the average grading of Eminem's albums from critics are more close to an B than an A.
1
+x.ziggy_ "Me Against the World" and "All Eyez on Me" have pretty much overshadowed it
1
+Spodermen Not his debut album
1
+Bradley Stanton That wasn't his debut: "Infinite" was
1
+TheBestEver Can't argue with that; I fell in love with "The Chronic" the first time I heard it, while "Doggystyle" has been forgotten by me
1
+JeffWTruffaut The Slim Shady LP isn't Eminem's debut
1
+Esteban Carlos "Me Against the World" and "All Eyez on Me" have pretty much overshadowed it
1
+The Football Zone That was Eminem's second album
1
+IReact To Stuff Nah
1
+ViceHacks Wait until you listen to "Enter the Wu-Tang Clan", "Ready to Die", or "Illmatic"
1
+I Don't Know It was a studio album. It just wasn't a mainstream one (not that Aftermath was very mainstream until Eminem came, but still)
1
+Bram Houben That wasn't his debut
1
SvcBoy Read my comment
1
+Charlie Thurston Why?
1
+David Noothoven That's not his debut
1
+David Noothoven It's "Aftermath Entertainment", and debut album is debut album
1
+David Noothoven Then why do you suggest SSLP?
1
+David Noothoven Debut is not the same as breakthrough
1
Not a debut
1
+GreenLords Is this a troll?
1
Slim Shady LP isn't a debut and definitely not All Eyez on Me
1
@Pnut571 "I want doing debut is was"? Was it THAT hard for you to write "I wasn't doing debut, I was doing..."? Also, why would you go to a video about debut albums and randomly write your favorite albums? Btw, your list was REALLY basic and like you're just jumping on a bandwagon
1
@Pnut571 Your list is so basic and mainstream that it makes me question if you've actually listened to any Hip-Hop albums or just searched for albums on the internet
1
@Pnut571 Still very basic
1
@Pnut571 Big Pun, Kool G Rap, Public Enemy, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, and Big Daddy Kane to name a few
1
He actually had 1 album before even Wu-Tang Clan was founded
1
+Adam Zamek "The Slim Shady LP" isn't Eminem's debut, and the chronic isn't an artist.
1
Slim Shady LP isn't a debut
1
"Infinite" is Eminem's debut
1
+Caviar star "Hell on Earth" is Mobb Deep's THIRD album
1
+Caviar star How fucking stupid are you? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nastradamus Any real fan of Nas knows that "Illmatic" was his first album and is considered to be one of the best albums of all time, "It was written" was his second album and did better commercially despite Nas being accused of selling-out, "I am..." (his third album) was considered decent, and his fourth album "Nastradamus" is easily his worst album.
1
+Caviar star No, the first-impression you gave me was too bad. If you don't care about Nas, then you're obviously not much into rap
1
+Ian Badolato Kanye West has ended up like Elia Kazan did; hated so much as a private person that his work as an artist gets neglected. Love the album though and I agree with you
1
+Ahmad Khattab Not Eminem's debut
1
+Ahmad Khattab Debut album means first album released. It has nothing to do with whether it was good or not
1
That's not even close to being his debut
1
+Fantasy Guru Yeah, not having "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx" here doesn't make any sense
1
+Unlimited Gaming "The Slim Shady LP" isn't Eminem's debut, and "Me Against the World" isn't 2pac's debut
1
+Wesley Gaspard Eminem's debut ("Infinite") was a flop
1
+Bjørn Magnus Bø Ever heard about "Infinite"?
1
+Jeremy Minton Are you really that stupid? Encore was Eminem's FIFTH album!!!
1
+Awesome Guy Not Eminem's debut
1
Nobody really remembers "2pacalypse Now"
1
+Sean Feister DEBUT albums only!!!
1
+Beckz Not his debut
1
+Beckz Debut means debut, and it's not the same as breakthrough
1
+Corey Burkhalter Because albums like "Illmatic", "Enter the Wu-Tang Clan", and "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx" are way better
1
Not a debut
1
@LevinNemera A debut album is a debut album. There's nothing normative or subjective about that
