  2. "The Godfather": I have read the novel, and despite some changes, I don't think the movie lacked much from it. Coppola himself also felt that his movie was so faithful that he put Mario Puzo's name in the title. I would at least have put it on the list rather than "Harry Potter" and "The Hunger Games"
