I thought "The Champ" would be higher; the death scene has been used in several psychology experiments, and it was the one that created the saddest response from the majority of the 500 subjects it was shown to (about 250 movie clips were shown to them). However, I can understand why "The Green Mile" is considered to be so heartbreaking btw, I'm not sure if E.T can be qualified since he was revived, and Mickey's death in "Rocky III" was at least very sad for me, but an honourable mention is good enough for me.
