On one hand, it became a lot easier to understand the movie after reading the novel, and it was great to read Vito Corleone's backstory On the other hand, I didn't think the movie lacked anything important from the novel, and some of the movie scenes were either absent or weren't as good in the novel in my opinion, such as: - Vito Corleone and Michael talking together in the garden - Vito's death - Baptism murders On the top of it, the direction, acting, and aesthetics of the movie are amazing and first class

The review for "The Da Vinci Code" was "what makes Dan Brown's novel a best seller is evidently not in present in this dull and bloated movie adaptation of The Da Vinci Code", and it was considered to be attacking religion and be blasphemous, and received many protests from religious groups. I have not read the novel yet, but my mom said the film's story seemed very confusing for those who have not read it, which may explain why I thought many things didn't make sense.
