Rocket Raccoon When he appeared in movies like "Moonstruck", "Raising Arizona", "Bringing Out the Dead", "Matchstick Man", "Face/Off", "Leaving Las Vegas" (for which he won the Oscar for Best Actor. I've seen it and could hardly believe that it was Nic Cage who played that role; he was so much more serious than he has become now), and "Adaptation" (another Oscar - nominated performance)

***** This is an open discussion, and there is no reason to not behave

KMAC Acting is not all about mastering accents. Sean Connery had a horrible accent in "The Untouchables", but still won an Oscar. And Dick Van Dyke had one of the worst Cockney accents ever in "Mary Poppins", but still had a Golden Globe nomination and is considered to be a Disney legend

Sloth No problem, I have no interest in discussing with immature "reviewers" anyway

Realistic, but completely altered from history (especially the battle against King Porus in India), and Alexander actually fought in four battles just to defeat the Persians, not one battle. The movie also omits so many important aspects of Alexander's life like the Gordian knot, the journeys through Egypt and Syria, and when King Porus says to Alexander that he wants to be treated like a king. Several actors are much older than the character they're playing, and they look completely shaven and well-groomed, which was not common at that time Colin Farrell's acting is so over the top, and his accent is horrible (A Macedonian king who speaks with an Irish accent?)

***** you obviously have not seen any of those movies I have mentioned

Mattias Lindqvist that's your opinion, the general response to the other movies I've mentioned have been positive (especially "Leaving Las Vegas" and "Adaptation")

noisepuppet yes, "Adaptation" is a great movie if you want to be proven that Cage can act if he just takes direction and shows some commitment. As for "Leaving Las Vegas", I think he actually got himself drunk and recorded himself, and then studyed his actions and speech for the actual movie. I also think he spent time with alcoholics

***** I'm not that much of a fan, I'm just defending him (although "Leaving Las Vegas" is one of my favorite movies of all time). But yes, I have seen "Joe", and it's probably his best performance since "Adaptation"
