  1. Robert Lyons Isn't that a bit of a overstatement? Daniel Day-Lewis overshadowed him in "Gangs of New York" and always manages to really become the character he's playing, Marlon Brando revolutionized modern film acting, Laurence Olivier and Spencer Tracy are both considered to be some of the greatest actors of the 20th century (along with Brando), and actors like Al Pacino, Robert de Niro, Jack Nicholson, and Dustin Hoffman have played much more challenging and versatile roles. I've also been more impressed with Christian Bale and Edward Norton, and even Jim Carrey when he has played serious roles ("The Truman Show", "Man on the Moon", and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind") I'm not saying that DiCaprio is not a great actor, but he's far from the greatest actor who has ever lived.
