+rattis James Dean was more than just a good-looking rebel. He was one of the first American method actors in the movie industry along with Brando and Montgomery Clift, and he had a spontaneity and skill to improvise that people rarely had seen in movies. He also made the teenage protagonist in movies more common

You really compare Paul Walker with James Dean and Bruce Lee?
9
+BRYAN42681 Paul Walker is not a bigger legend than James Dean or Bruce Lee. The latter even has people constantly imitating him and creating names that are similar to his
6
+Vic Vinegar I'm normally not fond of trolls
5
this is for actors, not singers
5
There is a porn star named James Deen who named himself after James Dean
3
+jesusfish James Dean and Bruce Lee were way more influential
3
He is at the list for "Comedians who died too soon" (made after this one). Strangely enough, everybody's like "Why IS Robin Williams here?" on that video; I guess it's impossible to please everybody
2
+Brian Claudio This was 2 years before her death, but I agree
2
because he hasn't made that much of an impact
2
I don't hate him, but I think he is nowhere as influential and iconic as James Dean and Bruce Lee
2
Adam Best-Shaw Paul Walker above Bruce Lee, James Dean, and Heath Ledger? No way!
2
James Dean died in a car accident, and John Cazale and John Candy died from cancer and heart attack respectively
2
he is alive
2
Marlon Brando was 80 years old
2
Those bunch of "old movie stars" have made a lot bigger impact than Paul Walker; Bruce Lee revolutionized the martial arts film genre and the way Chinese people were portrayed in movies, and there has been tons of imitators of him, while James Dean was one of the first true method actors in movies and influenced the teenage protagonist archetype in movies, plus he was very spontaneous.
2
Somebody needs to refresh their memories of acting and film history; Paul Walker is certainly not a big part of it
2
Joan Rivers was 81 when she died
2
Hannah Sutton I wouldn't it call it "too soon" when Joan Rivers' career spanned over 5 decades. I was (and still is) sad that Robin Williams passed away, but he had his legendary performances in the 80's and 90's, and was 63 years old. (Again, no disrespect, I loved him as an actor) Actors like Bruce Lee, James Dean, and Heath Ledger were really at the peak of their careers and had great potentials to become even better, but they passed away before they could have the chance. They were also between 24 and 32 years old.
2
James Dean died in a car accident, John Cazale died of cancer, and John Candy died of a heart attack. The cause of Bruce Lee's death is disputed, but it was definitely not drugs
2
not literally
1
he started to shoot "Game of Death" and put it on hold after he was offered to star in "Enter the Dragon", and then passed away before he could return to that project
1
But compared to James Dean and Heath Ledger? Not very much. He's also not made nearly the same impact as Bruce Lee
1
James Dean died in a car accident too. Bruce Lee and John Cazale also didn't die from overdose
1
mariogamefreak1 yes, he didn't die from overdose either
1
Why? Just because he died recently and starred in a popular movie franchise?
1
actually, he started to shoot "Game of Death" and put it on hold after he was offered to star in "Enter the Dragon", and then passed away before he could return to that project
1
Nah, they got this right
1
Nope, he was an iconic method actor. You're confusing him with James Deen
1
+Vic Vinegar Then why do imply that he is not someone to be praised? From what I've heard, pornstars are quite low life, and James Dean didn't do porn either
1
1. Bruce Lee did kung fu (or Jeet Kune-Do to be accurate), not karate 2. James Dean was not nominated for "Rebel Without A Cause" since it was released the same year as "East of Eden" 3. Bruce Lee didn't only influence martial arts, but also the martial art film genre and the way Asian characters were portrayed in mainstream movies other than that, I agree
1
ok, except that I don't see him as hot since I'm a guy
1
+wies siew Making jokes about death? In what twisted world is that hilarious? (or something to joke about in the first place)
1
wies siew You're the idiot if you don't understand the meaning behind the phrase
1
wies siew Ok, the people above were right; you're just a attention-seeking troll, so I'm just gonna leave
1
Humphrey Bogart wasn't that young when he died (57), and he had his legendary performances in the 40's like "High Sierra", "The Maltese Falcon", "Casablanca", and "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre". His health also started to become bad in the 50's
1
James Dean died in a car accident, John Cazale died of lung cancer, and Bruce Lee died of cerebral edema
1
+lunayoshi He actually did acting and rapping in the same period, but his breakthrough movie "Juice" was released 3 years before his album "Me against the world" made him a legend. He then released the album "All Eyez On Me" the following year (the same year he passed away). Even though his acting performances have been acclaimed, his rapping skills pretty much overshadowed them
1
James Dean died in a car accident
1
Why?
1
Above Bruce Lee, Heath Ledger, River Phoenix, and James Dean? No way
1
+Abbey Locker They're both martial artists (or was in the case with Bruce Lee), but they don't look like each other at all, and their styles are different; Bruce Lee is the lightning-fast one who always fights topless and has a very high-pitched kiai and looks like he's dancing, while Jackie Chan is the more acrobatic and spontaneous one. Plus that Bruce Lee's movies were serious and Jackie Chan's movies are often more comedic
1
You must be born in the 2000's
1
Paul Walker is nothing compared to James Dean and Bruce Lee
1
A handful of these actors either died in accidents or from cancer
1
george fish I meant accident as in car accident (James Dean and Paul Walker). I also thought Brandon Lee was here, but he was anyway accidentally shot
1
no way, Bruce Lee is much more iconic and influential
1
James Dean died of the same cause and has made more impact, and Bruce Lee is considered to be one of the most iconic martial artists of all time and didn't die from drugs either
1
I love Brando, but he was 80 and could hardly breathe already in 2003
1
+Maverick Da Bird The movie industry didn't start in 2001, kid
1
+William Olsen You must be really young
1
+fuckDoPe kurt cobain James Dean, Bruce Lee, John Cazale, and John Candy didn't overdose
1
