  8. Just like "Rocky Balboa", it's a film where you have to know the franchise really well in order to enjoy it. It takes the same direction as "Rocky Balboa", but we instead see Rocky in a more plausible role (being trainer/manager instead of the boxer) and how he gets closer to death, but we also get the motivational and action-packed scenes through Creed. It's not the best movie, but it's miles better than Rocky V and Stallone does a much better job than usual

DeadPixel​ Well, some movies work good as a standalone, but "Creed" is technically a Rocky sequel, and watching the other films will also help getting into the "universe", just like critics have claimed that it's impossible to watch "The Godfather part 3" without having seen the first two movies. I will admit that I watched "Rocky Balboa" (the predecessor to "Creed") without having watched the other Rocky films and thought it was boring, but my opinion changed drastically after just watching the first film

  11. Snubbed is actually more accurate since they didn't lose; they were ignored and viewed as not important (and no, I don't believe in that; I'm just explaining what the word means)
