  1. They said in the intro that they will not include Marlon Brando; he's been dead for 10 years now (a real pity, because there are very few actors today who can come close to his acting skills). Jack Nicholson hasn't appeared in a movie since 2010, and both Robert de Niro and Al Pacino haven't appeared in as outstanding movies as those in the 70's and 80's.

  3. Even if Marlon Brando was eligible for this list, I'm not sure if he could be considered "beloved". Yes, he indeed was one of the greatest and most influential actors of all time, but he was also notoriously difficult to work with, and often seemed to not care about his career at all. But I can understand him

Jim Carrey's performances in "The Truman Show", "Man on the Moon", and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" were clearly different from what he's usually doing, and were much more serious and mature, and I can see a big difference between his comedic roles as well. Jack Nicholson has also had a very versatile career with many challenging roles: "Five Easy Pieces", "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", "The Shining", "Batman", "A Few Good Men", "As Good As It Gets", and "The Departed" just to name a few. It's no wonder he's been nominated for 12 Oscars. Tom Hanks is probably one of the greatest actors who are still alive and active, with amazing performances in movies like "Philadelphia", "Forrest Gump", "Saving Private Ryan", "The Green Mile", "Cast Away", and recently "Captain Phillips" And with Johnny Depp, you can just search "They said I could be anything I want, SO I DID" on Google.
