  1. The first movie actually had a quite dramatic and thrilling story instead of relying on violence and gore and explosions, and Stallone did a much better job than he usually does. The second movie, although panned by most critics, was very influential for the action film genre The third movie however didn't have a very well-developed and interesting story, and seemed like it tried to follow the same formula as the second one. It was also more forgettable

  3. Karate Kid 3 was a real disappointment for me, and seemed like it tried to follow the formula of the first movie, only with some new characters, and it just lacked charm of the first one. I also thought the plot was too thin and confusing, and too depressive for the franchise, the choreography was not that amazing, Mike was an unlikable villain (by that, I mean uninteresting), and Ralph Macchio's acting was horrible
