only in Genwunners' eyes

You can get an Umbreon in Johto by evolving Eevee

Why are there Gen 1 Pokémon on your list for Top Gen 2 Pokémon?
1
some Gen 1 Pokémon*
1
ERIC MARTINEZ Yeah, but why not put only their evolved form on the list? Just because a Pokémon gets an evolution in a future generation doesn't mean that it suddenly belongs to that future generation
1
ERIC MARTINEZ Yes, but why not write like this: - Espeon and Umbreon - Kingdra And not like this?: - Eevee - all the evolutions - Horsea, Seadra, Kingdra
1
It's great as a staller though
1
Dragonite is Gen 1
1
Technically since it was planned for Gen 1, but not officially a Gen 1 Pokémon since you don't find it until the Gen 2 games
1
"because as soon as you capture one, you wanna un-own it. OOOOOOOOH!"
1
+Rainfallwarrior 1. The games are the most canon, so the anime doesn't matter 2. They often put Pokémon from a future generation in the anime. The Gen 1 anime for example also had Marill, while the movie had Donphan and even introduced Shadow Ball for Mewtwo. All of this is still Gen 2 officially
1
Houndoom just has a design that's really appealing to many; I've seen it appear on many fans' Top 10 favorite Pokémon lists, including mine
1
Raikou, Entei, and Suicune are a trio that's almost always spoken about as one; whether it's the Burned Tower legend, them being hard to catch, or that they're the legendary beasts Lugia and Ho-Oh are kind of a duo, but they are still quite different and don't share much of a story together
1
Who is dragonknight?

except Ho-Oh, Celebi, Mew, Suicune, Latios and Latias, the legendary birds, the Regis etc.

GENWUNNER SPOTTED! SECURITY ALERT!!!!!
1
I've seen several people put Houndoom on their Top 10 favorite Pokémon lists
1
Lapras is Gen 1
1
Blaziken is Gen III. Harrison, who used it against Ash, is even revealed to come from Hoenn
1
They are not required to capture to complete the Pokédex, but they count
1
Many people apparently don't know that it's Gen II. I watched a "The Dex VS" video where their theme was "Gen 1 VS Gen 2" and many comments were "Skarmory is Gen III" (Which is false)
1
Possible reasons: - They don't know the Un-own joke - They don't have a creative mind and just go with the actual word "Unknown"
1
Gen 1
1
+Ruairi Moore Wow, you're either the worst troll I've ever seen or just plain stupid. And Bulbapedia, the official Pokémon site, is unreliable? Alright then, check Smogon, do you see Rayquaza being playable in Gen 2 (GS)?
1
Gen 1 anime* It's officially a Gen 2 Pokémon. You also see Ho-Oh and Marill in the first two seasons despite being Gen 2 Pokémon
1
LOL
1
The title card is also wrong: It's "Unown", not "Unknown" (many websites and Youtubers make the same mistake though)
1
It's meant to be pronounced like "Scissor"
1
It is. Common mistake to write "Unknown", I guess (Unless you know the Un-own joke of course)
1
Charizard is Gen 1
1
Flamethrower was not a TM in Gen II
1
not Celebi and Suicune though
1
No, "Unown" is correct
1
Pidgey is Gen 1
1
How did it ruin the franchise?
1
TheOtherGuy27 Yeah, but very few fans actually care about catching them all Gen 3 also had many good new features: - Abilities, nature, EVs and IVs - Battle Frontier (in Emerald) - FireRed and LeafGreen made Gen 1 cool again
1
Gen III
1
Gyarados is still Gen 1 even though its shiny form played a major part
1
+My Wacky Pets Raikou, Entei, and Suicune are not dogs!
