Snowden is a traitor and an asset to Russia and China, by disclosing state secrets of the US, a democracy . This guy is a good person by attacking a dictatorship.

@SuperMcbonez how should he be celebrated? It would be one thing if he simply revealed that domestic surveillance occurred, but he revealed how US spies on enemies dictatorships like Russia and China, and he jeopardized the lives of American/British agents and spies. How is that good? Perhaps is he only revealed the domestic surveillance I’d hate him less.

@brethartaquino3976 NGO reports are proof that democracies have better living standards than regimes. So it is proof that democracies are objectively superior
2
@tudvalstone Human Rights Court sided with a man who helped enable dictatorships like China and Russia, and who helped exterminate and displace thousands of US and British spies? How is that good for human rights?

@brethartaquino3976 NGO reports which measure both democracy and living standards rate the same countries in similar categories. Meaning democracies are objectively superior in every way. You can read the annual indexes like the Democracy Index, the Corruptions Perceptions Index, the Human Development Index, the Inequality-Adjusted Human Development Index, etc

@brethartaquino3976 moot because China is a bad nation to live in, the NGO reports that China has larger wealth inequality, corruption, and that is not considering the poor treatment that minorities receive

@NarnTheSeaboo it doesn’t matter whether it was a secret or not. He disclosed state secrets, it’s like if I stole your SS Number and sent to hackers. It’s bad. It’s illegal. And it’s proof that government SHOULD keep some secrets from the public

@Gone_Gaming0 where is the proof and context? Secondly, even if true, it is no comparison because Morales is/was a dictator
1
@NarnTheSeaboo Where to begin? Laws like the Patriot Act were passed and discussed since the War on Terror began, so you are flatly wrong that government spying was a secret. Secondly, Quartz wrote an article in 2013 saying that government-mass surveillance of phone calls has prevented terrorist acts in the US from occurring. This is proof that the government spying is good. Thirdly, secrets are ok for the government to keep from the public. Proof of this is that multiple articles from press like The Independent and ABC News wrote articles saying that the leaks caused by Snowden damaged national security by helping cruel dictatorships like Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, etc counter the USs’ and its allies’ spying methods. Secret agents within several countries had their covers blown because of Snowden as well, and had to be evacuated, plausibly some were caught and imprisoned or executed.

@NarnTheSeaboo I think it’s not a big deal that the government keeps secrets, I don’t know why you care. The government keeps secrets all the time, like your SS Number, or keeps weapons research secret from Taliban and China. Sometimes secrets are good. Secondly, you claim that the US is corrupt, but NGO reports like the CPI and Democracy Index don’t say so, they say the US is a non-corrupt nation. So you are wrong according to educated people
