@Hidinginthetreeline how is that possible? Before the US invaded the Taliban were in charge of everything in Afghanistan. Now the US and Afghanistan have contained them to the rural areas.

Your ignorance is what the Taliban loves to see in America. Thanks

@Hidinginthetreeline the Taliban were right to take over Afghanistan is what you’re saying?

@brianmartinez6287 the Muj included progressive Afghans like Hamid Karzai who supported secular government and womens’ rights. Your idea that the Muj were all extremists is silly

@Hidinginthetreeline dropping special forces to kill the Taliban was unrealistic. After 9/11 the Taliban controlled the whole country. How you think special forces be dropped in? Secondly, the amount of US soldiers in Afghanistan is a paltry 2500, down from the height of 100,000 so it looks like your plan for small special forces is the plan for the past few years, and you should therefore have nothing to complain about. Lastly, the Afghan government exists because of the US. It does not impose foreign values on Afghans. It was made by and for Afghans. Your claim that the Afghans are being subjected is wrong

@obcallum6450 eh? I don’t get what you’re saying?

@brianmartinez6287 US never supported the Taliban. Basic reading on Wikipedia or a textbook will tell you that the Muj were not the same as Taliban or al-Qaeda.

@Hidinginthetreeline your opinion is worth very little against the experts who make policy. Please delete your comment so you don’t mislead others

Big betrayal to Afghanistan. Would’ve never happened if Hillary Clinton was President
