  1. That is why nobody cares about your opinions (sorry to be rude, but it’s true). You know nothing about the One China Policy or Cross Strait Relations. Refusing to acknowledge Taiwan as a country is mutually agreed upon by most of the world. If the US reversed it, there could be unforeseen and deadly repercussions. The time to recognize Taiwan is not now. US would rather keep the status quo where Taiwan is independent and there’s no war, or recognize Taiwan when it’s viable to do so, meaning later in time when the threat from China has passed. Perhaps when a moderate comes to power replacing Xi Jinping.

  4. US stayed in Afghanistan for 20 bloody years, if US offers even a little of that to Taiwan, it will be more than most countries are willing to give. Taiwan is also a more willing and capable partner than the Afghan government. The two nations are not comparable, and inferences on US policies for Taiwan cannot be drawn from Afghanistan.

Trump ordered Afghan troops to their lowest levels at 2500, while a truce was called, NOT BIDEN. Trump kneecapped the Afghan government by excluding them from ALL negotiations with the Taliban, NOT BIDEN. If Hillary Clinton won the Presidency in 2016, this would’ve never happened.

Be honest. She wouldn’t have. This is Trump’s fault. Biden followed through on his deal, but Trump gave the Taliban 5000 reinforcements for nothing in return. Renegading on the rotten Trump-deal, the Doha Agreement, would’ve been costly.

He charged the Secret Service millions of USD in rents, to have them, federal agents, stay at his private properties in Florida and New York. Trump appointed his family members to key positions in the government, and they all lied multiple times on their Security Clearances, when others uncovered secret meetings with Russian officials during the 2016 Election, Trump’s cohorts “updated” their security clearances, claiming that these secret meetings they had and tried to keep secret, weren’t kept secret at all, but that everyone had “forgotten” about them. Yeah right, they tried to hide their corruption. I don’t think you should judge Biden or any politician by how well they do in front of a camera. He has a stutter, he’s old, but that doesn’t mean he’s incapable, or that his ideas and administration are bad.

It’s not Biden’s fault that the Afghan government collapsed around them, that is Trump’s fault. Chairman and General Milley blamed the Doha Agreement for demoralizing the Afghan government, so Trump is to blame. Trump also released 5000 Taliban terrorists from Afghan prisons.

The hope was that they would stand their ground against the Taliban. The speed of which they surrendered surprised all the policy and military experts, Trump would’ve done worse than Biden here because Trump’s planned evac was more rushed, hence why Biden pushed back the deadline to allow for a more orderly withdrawal. I blame Trump for ordering the withdrawal, for helping to turn the American public against helping foreign nations, and I blame Trump for releasing 5000 Taliban terrorists, including senior leaders, from Afghan prisons in 2020, and for agreeing to a rotten deal, the Doha Agreement and excluding the Afghan government from negotiations, which Chairman of the JCS General Milley cited as the cause for demoralizing the Afghan government. None of this is Biden’s fault. Had Hillary Clinton been elected in 2016, this would’ve never happened, along with other avoidable tragedies like Trump’s bungled Covid-19 response which the Lancet medical journal blames Trump for.

Biden’s policies have been good so far, he’s overseen mass vaccination which Trump failed to organize. A whistleblower who spoke to Vanity Fair even claimed that Trump stood by and did nothing as Covid-19 entered the US, believing that, since it initially struck the coastal cities, which vote liberal, it would be beneficial to let Covid-19 kill people there.

Obama’s 2-term legacy though was not defined by being post-Bush, it was defined as reinvigorating liberal ideas, such as renewed focus on fixing healthcare, racial injustice, police brutality, fighting Climate Change, environmentalism, focus on gun control, and a more muted but still assertive foreign policy. I think Obama was great overall. His legacy is also defined by fighting against uncooperative, dishonest, doublespeak and slanted lies from Republicans, especially Republicans in Congress like Paul Ryan, Newt Gingrich, Mitch McConnell, Ted Cruz, and personalities like Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity. People who lie and push identity politics and fear instead of owning up to truths like climate change and gun control, or who play a game of gaslighting by stalling Democrats’ agenda, then later, and on their own news bubbles like Fox News, claiming Obama and the Democrats were ineffective and blaming them for Republican-obstruction.

That would enrage PRC. So ironically, maintaining an old sweeping claim to China is adhering to the One China Policy, and is an appeasement to the PRC.

Because for Taiwan to renounce this claim, would suggest that Taiwan is in fact exercising its sovereign rights, and is not apart of the PRC, nor party to the One China Policy. Renouncing the ROC, or any of its traditional claims, would anger the PRC and provoke a hostile response.
