They are peaceful protestors

Joe Bloe most of the protests are peaceful. The news has said so and they report on the scene unlike you

Brother Spartacus You mean make stuff up and play pretend? No, I trust the experts, who are there on the ground, around the nation. Unlike you or me who are not

blazednlovinit says you

Brother Spartacus yes because it may be biased, out of context, staged, or an isolated incident. I only trust brands with a reputation of impartiality, NPR and BBC. And then I check Wikipedia to see if there is a consensus that matches BBC or NPR, if so, then the likelihood of the truth is high.

Brother Spartacus Wikipedia is edited by dozens of authors, meaning it’s unlikely that a right winger like you is hijacking the news. It’s trustworthy and I use it to check against the educated experts at BBC and NPR. If they all line up, then their coverage is likely accurate.

Brother Spartacus I don’t trust Wikipedia or any news blindly. I check multiple and compare. I will never trust individual accounts made by those with an axe to grind, like right wingers who deny the existence of racism time and time again

Brother Spartacus ever heard of the saying “facts have a liberal bias”? It means that the liberals are the politics of truth and solving problems, and right wingers are the politics of lies and shady agendas. See Trump, Climate Change Deniers, and the Brexiters as examples of right wing liars who hurt people for personal gain. I trust BBC and NPR for politics because they have a reputation for neutrality, facts, and zero sensationalism and fear mongering, unlike CNN, Fox News, etc. I don’t trust randos on YouTube who show brief footage because the footage may not be the big picture.

Brother Spartacus How exactly do I prove that BBC or NPR is biased? Please explain how my beliefs, which no one in BBC knows about, makes them biased.

Officers are able to arrest violent suspects all the time. This isn’t an excuse
