@purplecitygrow2233 Castle Doctrine does not allow you use lethal force whenever you want. All it does is vacate your duty to retreat before using self defense. But, you still must be threatened to use force, especially lethal force. It is never legal to use lethal force against thieves.

@bobloblaw7465 plenty of liberal anti-gun states have castle doctrine too, like Massachussets. There’s nothing significant about the laws in Texas or other conservative states, and castle doctrine is not proof you can use lethal force to defend property, despite your claims without evidence. All castle doctrine does generally, is vacate your duty to retreat if you’re threatened in your home. You still have to be threatened to use lethal force. Property theft alone is not enough justification. Furthermore you should be looking to avoid violence, not seeking loopholes to fulfill your violence fantasies.
