  7.  @CarlosRamirez-wb7zu  $7 trillion per year is, according to the IMF, the global subsidies given to the oil industry. The US through Congress gives companies $20 billion each year. Still a lot, needlessly too. And these same people who don’t know or don’t care about that, are happy to smack down noble spending plans like foreign aid, student debt relief, etc.
