@Waldo1122 criminals will in fact use guns that can be traced back to them, because criminals are irrational or they’re regular people who one day commit a crime with their gun, in the moment, for example, so they’re not concerned with being traced. Secondly, criminals will use straw purchases and private sales.

@lostcreek7551 indeed, private firearm sales should be illegal. I envision it like this, we make a national firearm registry, and private sales are forbidden. If your gun is found to be used by a criminal, outside of your possession, you go to jail.
