  14. How is Biden to blame for the Russian annexation of Crimea? Secondly, do you remember that it was Trump who initiated the withdrawal from Afghanistan, on a shorter timetable than Biden. If Biden hadn’t organized and extended Trump’s plan the situation would be much worse. And how is Biden to blame for Ukraine? As for Trump, multiple wars happened around the world under his watch, new conflicts were raging in Africa, and under Trump the Taliban, Russia and China expanded their power to new heights, under his watch.

This question was likely expected for some time, and the answer was carefully crafted and agreed upon by the Biden Administration. Words from the President are not uttered lightly. To say that the US will intervene militarily in Taiwan is a major escalation, for better or worse.
