You have not proven an alternative explanation as to why US has high levels of gun violence, if not because of easy access to guns.

@darksesh8247 Chicago is next to the border with Indiana, a conservative state that has lax gun laws, it is easy to circumvent gun laws if they are not nationally enforced or over a wide area. Secondly, why are you only considering Chicago as evidence? It is not even the top ten most dangerous US cities, and there are entire nations with millions worth of people, who live in nations with tougher gun laws, and have lower rates of murder and gun-murder year after year. This is proof that gun control saves lives.

@CraigC-h6b federal offense does not equal felony. Some federal offenses are misdemeanors, and some of the worst crimes you can commit are state crimes. Educate yourself before posting online.
