  5.  @nerzhul2455 the US military was not fighting the Taliban, it was occupying the country and rarely fought Taliban openly. The Taliban hid and didn’t fight the US. The US had strict rules of engagement that the Taliban exploited, such as hiding among civilians. The US’s difficulties fighting an insurgency with clean hands is not indicative of any difficulties they’d face fighting the Russians, Chinese, Iranians, Venezuelans, or other conventional armies in open combat.
