It’s not history class’s job to teach every scandal. The job is to summarize 300 years of American history in a 2 hour class. This is a small footnote in history.

@Frank71 in the US individual teachers have some discretion about framing issues and covering a few extra materials. Curriculums which consume most of classroom time is determined by the school committee and the superintendent.

US history spans 400 years, from Jamestown to the Cold War. Not everything can be covered and it’s not the teacher’s job to talk about random scandals.
