Because the lady foolishly represented herself, disregarding the years of experience and education required to argue law, and then (Surprise!) lost in court when she refused to hire a lawyer and represented herself. This isn’t a failing of the court, the judge, or the laws. It’s her failing, she showed up to play and got thrashed.

  19. The factors that caused inflation didn’t exist when Trump was president. Had Trump been President today, we would still have record inflation. Inflation is being caused by complex global factors, not anything the President can independently control. You can study this in college or read about it in articles like Forbes.

This case might seem egregious, but the only reason the landlord lost is likely because she cheaped out and didn’t hire a lawyer. Had she done so, she probably would’ve won. This case being egregious doesn’t mean squatters’ rights are all bad.
