He was unqualified and unprofessional.

@slipknot6789 fetterman is qualified and has decades of political and professional experience, and the Democratic Party is backed by science
4
@sameer9045 Gaza was given back to Gazans and was not occupied nor blockaded until 2007 when they elected Hamas

Spooky

Not exactly, US is handing over Iranian money that was frozen by US sanctions. US took it, and promised to give it back if conditions are met. Not quite the same as the US paying Iran to give back the hostages.
2
Because this was what Iran demanded and the people alone were not enough to get Iran to give back the hostages. Simple as that, this is a price both sides could agree too. You might say Iran has more leverage, or maybe that the US has more concern for the welfare of its people than Iran, either way, it’s a deal they reached.
2
@noouhh1420 so what? The US is the moral nation that will pay money to get its citizens home safely. Iran is a cruel authoritarian regime that abducts civilians, who arguably should never have gone to Iran in the first place and incurred their own suffering, but still deserved to be rescued.
2
Everyone thinks it won’t be them. Until it is. Granted, these Americans were captured years ago, the situation may not have been as apparently dire as it is now
2
Regardless of how you feel about Iran, it is not a terrorist regime, like ISIS or Al-Qaeda. It’s a nation, and the nation had something the US wanted, so the US gave it to them and got what it wanted.
2
@NewNormalWorldOrder I don’t see your point? Firstly, Israel is democratic and Egypt is authoritarian, so Israel is good and Egypt is the bad guy. Secondly, even if some countries do bad things sometimes, why are you latching onto this? US has done stuff like that, does that mean US, or other nations like UK, France, etc, are all bad?
2
He’s not home because he’s held in Russia and Russia has thus far refused to hand him over. If you think the US government under Biden is not doing enough, kindly share the strategy you think they should be pursuing.
1
@ericmcbrian1638 the US government tried to include Whalen in the deal, Russia refused, saying they wanted “a spy for a spy”, alluding to their unfounded claims Whalen was spying in Russia for the US. It was either trade Viktor Bout, the convicted Russian arms dealer for Griner, or nothing. That was what Russia told the US. Source: multiple news articles. Rest assured the US government is not run by fools. They are very capable and are doing everything they can to get hostages back home, if you’ve thought of it, so have they. If they haven’t done it, it probably wasn’t a feasible plan.
1
@JC4Life3 the US released the funds because Iran demanded it and the US considered the demand reasonable, in addition to the Iranians held prisoner in the US. Simple as that. Iran would not have agreed to the deal without the money.
1
They were foolish for visiting Iran. But they still deserved to be rescued. US needs to put a travel ban on visiting these authoritarian nations, who are known to kidnap Westerners for political gain.
1
What did Britain do that was bad?
1
@bsusak09 there is no apartheid in Israel. Secondly, the only party that is to blame is Palestine and the hostile neighbors to Israel
1
What do you think the US should’ve done with that money? Just curious
1
Reagan worst president did nothing
1
@NewNormalWorldOrder I don’t see what the problem is with these? The Lavon Affair was justified, because Egypt was aggressive. Same for actions concerning Palestinians. Secondly, the USS Liberty was a mistake, mistakes in war happen. Samson Option is defensive doctrine, not aggressive and thus is good.
1
@robertirvine6307 even so, they were fools for journeying to Iran, knowing that this country is known to abduct Westerners on trumped up charges

You can’t just judge Fetterman because of weak public speaking. Public speaking is a rare skill not many of us have, so it’s ok that he doesn’t. As well, it’s not particularly important for a Senator be a public speaker. Policy is what matters most.
1
@slipknot6789 explain in your own words how Fetterman is incompetent
1
@slipknot6789 his policies are what matter
1
@slipknot6789 I’m against fracking, I see it as coddling poor people
1
@slipknot6789 I like his policies aside from fracking, such as the Democratic Platform
1
I’m sorry but I don’t believe she is innocent at all given the evidence at trial and her conviction
1
@brianc1812 who got his cut? Literally who? The big guy in Iran? We know, Iran is corrupt, who cares?
1
@jamilal-khodari4476 I feel bad for Iranians, but don’t ignore the reason US sanctioned Iran. Iran is an authoritarian regime, and a rogue state. It funds terrorists abroad like Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthi Rebels in Yemen, and certainly more. Iranian regime oppresses its own people regularly. The sanctions are well earned and necessary.
1
@jamilal-khodari4476 bro, nobody in Guantanamo Bay is innocent. Go do yo research on Wikipedia, read about the detainees, they are all known terrorists.
1
@Myers70 what do you believe the Biden Administration should have done instead? Nothing? Sanctions weren’t working, these Americans have been held for at least 5 years each. This is the only way people knew that could bring them home.
1
The US is doing everything it can to get Paul Whalen home. But unless Russia agrees, there’s nothing the US can do.
1
The US is more moral nation than Iran. We care about our citizens and will do whatever we can to get them back home.
1
He’s smarter and better than you’ll ever be
1
The solution is to ban people from going to Russia, Iran, or China, these countries (less so China) are known to abduct Westerners or convict them on false charges so that they can be ransomed to the West

@thereisnosuchthingasanativ904 Putin may have invaded Ukraine regardless if Trump or Biden became President in 2020. Also, Putin wanted Trump to win both in 2016 and 2020, the Kremlin ran pro-Trump ops on social media. This is easily verified online from multiple sources. Trump was viewed as weak and ineffective. A useful fool
1
@thereisnosuchthingasanativ904 Obama did not start the Great Recession. That started during the President Bush, who was obviously a Republican. Get your facts straight
1
Celebrating the end of slavery is not a good thing?
1
Do you have evidence the US left anyone in Afghanistan?
1
@mightyoaks80 so you have no proof?
1
@THEREareTWoGENDERS2 uh…no. Read the Doha Agreement online. The Taliban explicitly refused to negotiate or recognize the Afghan government.
1
Who is this “big guy”. Why do you believe there is corruption in the US? NGO reports like the Democracy Index and the Corruption Perceptions Index say the US has low amounts of corruption. As does South Korea

Not really
