  16. Hamas is in the West Bank, first of all. Secondly, there are legitimate concerns that if Israel pulls out of the West Bank, that it will descend into the same state as Gaza Strip did in 2006

  17.  @annehedonia156 the 1967 borders are problematic for a few reasons. Firstly, those borders are indefensible. Secondly, if Israel were to end the occupation of the West Bank, there’s a fear, as in Gaza, that the PA will turn hostile or be overtaken by hostile extremists. Thirdly, Israelis are often bitter towards Palestinians for the wars and intifadas they started, they don’t want to reward bad behavior by giving them land, and especially by giving them East Jerusalem.

  45. The settlers are there for a few reasons. Firstly, because they the land is sentimental to them, and they feel that after all the aggression from Palestine, they deserve it as compensation. Secondly, the government and military want it because that land, as evidenced by the many wars and terror waves, is strategically necessary to prevent Palestinian violence. Thirdly, because Palestine is a regime, like Venezuela, Russia, China, it does not have a moral right to exist in any form.

The Palestinians who are occupied in Area C, about 200k total, are not Israelis and so aren’t entitled to equal treatment anymore than I an American are entitled to equal treatment in Canada, to receive Canadian social services, etc.
