She allegedly brought in a small amount of cannabis oil, something that regular Russians do not get punished for prison for, yet she did. Secondly, why do you trust the Kremlin’s narrative? It’s very likely she was framed, Russia has a long history of abducting Westerners for political hostage deals.

  10. ⁠ @michellerichardson1427 the US government never left Americans behind in Afghanistan. Do you have proof? What defines “leaving behind”? Are they trapped with no escape and no rescue? Prove it. Secondly, if you read the news like BBC you’d see the US tried very hard to negotiate for all detained Americans, but Russia has leverage and dictates terms when it knows the US will try and rescue its citizens. The solution is to NOT go to Russia.

  11.  @useruser00xman there’s no diplomatic failure for the US regarding Russia holding American detainees. If you go to Russia you should expect to be kidnapped, the US has very little power in Russia. And Russia has a history of abducting Westerners
