@Abcdefghijk920 all collage classes are useful, even if it’s not immediately appear. Everyone needs to know the basics of Gen Eds, how to write well, how to think critically, how to do math, how the world, nature, and society works, etc.

When in your opinion, did Community College even be seen as bad? I went to college 10 years ago when I was 18, right after high school. Nobody will tell you in real life that community college is bad. It’s only “bad” if it comes at the expense of going to a more elite school, but that’s not bad just non-optimal. The idea that cc is for losers never made sense to me. If that were true, what does that make the 2/3 of American adults with only high school education or less?

@smmaistheway why should the government feed or otherwise provide for the poor? Secondly, “feeding the poor” and other social programs are very expensive. It may feel strange that something simple as feeding poor people, housing the homeless, providing healthcare, etc, is more expensive or complicated than waging war, but it often is the case.

False lol. Community College is very cheap, often less than 5k a year before aid. And after that, you can often transfer to a variety of cheap colleges like state schools, online colleges, etc.

@t1m3l0rd Associate degrees (not only Associate’s of Arts, or AA’s), are not useless once you get a bachelor’s. They are still somewhat useful especially if in a unique or interesting discipline, they can compliment your bachelor’s kinda like a minor would to a major.
