This is what I think why? Why?! They just said that blackface is wrong. How on Earth does that merit a boycott?
7
thomas underhill it's not promoting an us vs them mentality, it's saying that an us vs them mentality already exists.
7
Micah Friesen why? What's so bad about this video. I literally cannot comprehend what's so terrible about denouncing blackface.
6
Rob Vel So asking people not to do blackface is racist towards whites?
4
Shartley that makes you stupid and easily impressionable. You want to vote Trump because a video denouncing blackface offends you? You truly are deplorable
3
Sin ners how is it racist against white people? It's saying please don't do blackface. If that's controversial then you're stupid
2
Ethpling Just because you say something doesn't mean it's true. Racism against whites, if it does happen, does not occur with the same frequency and historical weight that racism against blacks occurred and continues to occur. This video states that discrimination against blacks still exists, which is true. Socioeconomic trends like sentencing, wage inequality, and ethnic redlining are evidence of systemic discrimination against blacks and minorities. Contrary to your claim, none of these exist for whites, especially white men. This video makes a valid point about racism in America, and you are making a false equivalence without any evidence.
2
Axel Gustafsson that's not the point. The point is discrimination still exists. Slavery wasn't even mentioned here, you're just erecting a strawman.
2
thomas underhill how does it promote division?
2
Pittsburgh4Real please, keep an open mind and here the other side out. Discrimination is real, and it does affect some people of color. Surely not all in all environments, but some. This movie exists to make a point of that. The creators resent the divisions that already exists, divisions created primarily by White Americans in Jim Crow. Pointing out that these divisions exist, while stating factually that some whites created and sustain these divisions, is not the same as creating divides.

Master X do tell me what the point is
1
Valerie May they denounced blackface as racist. They're likely not going to run in shame from bigots who think denouncing blackface amounts to racism.
1
26magicman26 hopefully it's just an act for the Internet and in real life they are not crazy nutters.
1
thomas underhill acknowledging that a division already exists and demanding solutions from those perpetuating stereotypes is not the same as creating division. Why do you blame the people, in this case some black people, for demanding that racism ends? You are naïve to assume that racism no longer exists.
1
Haleigh Drahmann as bad as it is for you, it might be worse if you were a minority. Secondly, denying racism exists is racist and naive
1
Haleigh Drahmann Let me clarify then, a racial minority. You also may not be totally racist since you liked MLK but that is irrelevant to your downplaying of racism today. This is also not a racist show.
