  6. ***** Putin is using nationalism and rhetoric to fan the flames and start a war in Ukraine where none existed.  Thousands have died on both sides, in a war that he and his cronies initiated.  He gave heavy weapons and vehicles to reckless and impulsive rebels, and now with Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, the world has seen the consequence of such reckless abandon.

Cristian Sosa The US maintains peace, if you took a global perspective on international politics and looked around the world then you would see that.  The US and the Western World are among the freest and most wealthy nations in the world, the only non-Western countries that are fully developed that I can think of, are a few South American countries like Uruguay, and some oddballs like the Maldives.  So clearly the US and NATO are doing the right thing.

Cristian Sosa The US and other Western countries have the most civil liberties and greatest human development in the world, that by definition makes them better than other countries, and other governments.   The US isn't defined solely by the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars, if that's what you're thinking. The US had done a lot outside those wars, more mundane things.

Games Cooky It does actually.  There are no major flaws to a stable, secure democracy, there are very serious flaws with stable and efficient democracies.  The key is civil liberties, which the US NATO have, and Russia lacks.  You like YouTube?  You like Vice News?  Democracies exist to serve the people and in tyrannies like Putin's Russia, free media like YouTube and independent news agencies aren't tolerated.  You're a fool to use your free speech to advocate for Russia.
