  12. The solution is make legal immigration more accessible, but without lowering standards for admission. Unfortunately the GOP is opposed to any increase in legal immigration from Latin America, they fear that this will import liberal voters who will turn the Sun Belt states from red to blue.

  16.  @Austin-wz5xk  it’s hard for me to say about small towns since I live in Eastern Massachusetts, which is urban and densely populated. I think the best thing to do is to move to where the jobs are. I personally hate small towns, they exist in Massachusetts too but you’re at least never more than a 2 hour drive from an urban cluster.

Employers usually don’t care about your GPA, or where you got your degree, except for the most competitive and best paying jobs. But if you are lucky and you hustle by talking to job recruiters, apply on websites like Indeed or Monster, build a good looking resume, and live in an area where the jobs are, then you can do well. My first job out of school was at a biotech company in Eastern Mass, at $24/hr. Then I hustled online with recruiters, and left after 5 months. Now I work for a big company in Cambridge, MA. I make $34/hr, but sadly it is the night shift. I will put in 6 months or so and then use that experience to bounce to a new job

A small and fringe group supports being independent, by far the worst option for everyone, it does nothing but appeal to emotional and nostalgic dreams.

  24.  @Slipthestrangewolf  PR has had many referendums over the years, most recently in 2017 and 2020. The voter turnout in Puerto Rico was 22% in 2017. In 2020, it was higher, but still only 54%. That’s pretty low. Are you comfortable with passing statehood onto a US Territory where a large minority is not in favor of statehood? Also in Switzerland everyone is expected to serve in the military and therefore everyone is basically screened for mental health before they can own guns. They have tough gun laws in another color
