Ojogbane Amedu well the Iraqi Kurds suffered under Saddam and they are grateful that the US invaded. Isn’t their opinion the most important since they were the ones who were oppressed?

Ojogbane Amedu sometimes civilian casualties are unavoidable. Like in WWII when the Allies bombed Germany, Occupied France, or Japan.

@ojogbaneamedu2501 Old comment but this comparison is absurd. 1960s US was better than modern China (2020). And the US has improved over the decades and contribute positively to global security such as NATO. China is morally inferior and deserves to be invaded. Just like NK or Iran

@ojogbaneamedu2501 very few Iraqis and Afghans died from US invasions. US has given billions of each nation for nation building. It worked well in Japan, Germany, South Korea, Taiwan, etc. The alternative is to allow billions to die and be exploited by regimes. Obviously US is superior and dictatorships and their supporters should be defeated in some way.

@dumplingexplorer5034 Iraqi Kurdistan is now more safe and developed than it ever was under Saddam, and all of Iraq now has a fledgling democracy. The US has a good track record for nationbuilding, see the successes in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, West Germany, etc. Iraq is on a good path and the US invasion is popular with Saddam’s victims like the Marsh Arabs and Kurds. USAID gives Iraq billions each year, where is the proof US takes oil and exploits Iraq? I’ll wait...

@ojogbaneamedu2501 the point is the US has a long track record of nationbuilding. It worked very well in South Korea and Taiwan, it would’ve worked in South Vietnam. It has worked well in Iraqi Kurdistan and the rest of Iraq. Afghanistan is now largely free from the Taliban. Point is, the US is morally superior to its enemies and is the best option for global happiness. Your claims that the US has done nothing good for the Middle East contradict fact

@LS-ux3th Iraqi Kurds and Marsh Arabs hated Saddam. Their opinions matter more than his supporters. Maybe some Germans missed Hitler and some Russians missed Stalin. Regardless they are still wrong. We ignore them
