The Taliban gave lame excuses and did not offer regret for any terror acts since committed, including 9/11. The alternative to invasion was was already tried and it failed, the Taliban and AQ were uncooperative. There were no other options. You are also committing a false equivalence fallacy by comparing the old and crippled Soviet Union to modern and strong 21st Century US. Unlike the Soviets, US is holding back big time, to appease people like you, who think US intervention is tasteless. The War does not affect you in any way yet you oppose on principal. It’s been done before with great success, withdrawing from South Vietnam was also a mistake in my opinion, it was a betrayal to South Vietnam and pointless since the US was doing well there as here

Womens’ rights are under fire because Trump has said sexist things, has filled the Supreme Court with conservative Justices, and the GOP are trying to overturn Roe v.
