Something you could do with a 1858 Starr double action revolver. Assault rifles fire low power intermediate cartridges making them less deadly. The Winchester Model 1894 fires a more powerful cartridge. A so called "assault rifle" is better for home defense than a pistol because it requires less skill to use effectively.
